Why precise drenching matters

Uneven delivery of water-soluble inputs to the root zone leads to plant loss, uneven growth and lower yield.

The problem

Small, marginal and even large farmers rely on manual soil drenching or drip irrigation to deliver fertilizers, pesticides and fungicides to the roots. Dosing is inaccurate, agrochemicals are wasted and labour costs are high.

Existing methods lack precision, so nutrients reach plants unevenly and yield drops.

Our solution

The SWASTI Auto Soil Drenching Device attaches to any battery sprayer pump and applies a set quantity to each plant's root zone. It helps cut chemical wastage, labour and water use, and improves how well plants use nutrients. It is durable, easy to use and low cost, built for small and marginal farmers.

The problem, measured

Water collected from 8 drippers in 5 minutes on a one-acre grape farm. The drippers are rated 8 litres per hour, so each should give about 666 ml (dashed line).
